Untitled

Transformers: Revenge of the fallen has got to be THE most action-packed, awesome, not to mention funny movie so far this year. The special effects and graphics were state-of-the-art. The pace and dialogue was witty, hilarious and pure genius at times (That Shia guy was mad funny). Oh yeah, and Megan Fox was in it. What more can I ask for? Although I HAVE to say that her acting-chops were comparable to that of an elementary-school drama production, her mere presence was more than enough to make up for her lack of talent. That damn camera was pushing its boundaries by taking shots that comprises many different angles/poses of her. Fudge.

Anyways, after two and a half hours of hardcore entertainment, we chilled at Balin.....again. Those taking up local uni offers will be leaving these few days. All the best and do remember to enjoy yourselves!! Spent the rest of the night ( or to be more precise, day) reminiscing about camp, "underlining ourselves"-credit goes to Miss Teo , slacking sessions as well as the naughty but fun stuff we did and bitched about during our high school days. Surprisingly, most of these "trivial happenings" are still well-remembered and that's what makes it all the more fun to talk about.

Good luck guys, do keep in touch !!!! :)

p.s: Norah Jones' voice is pure heaven.

Cheers,
Timo

M for...

Mass
Googled "Why can't I gain weight?" and here's what I got:

11 reasons people fail to gain mass

1. Too many simple carbs, not enough high-quality protein.

2. Weight workouts not intense enough to trigger new muscle growth.

3. Inconsistency, missing workouts.

4. Overtraining. If muscles aren't allowed to recover, they won't grow.

5. Not doing the very routines (multi-joint) that can really accelerate muscle growth, such as barbell squats, decline leg presses, dead-lifts, bench presses, dumbbell rows and other dumbbell routines. But these must be performed with heavy enough weight to bring on severe fatigue in 5-8 reps.

6. Not doing enough free-weight routines; too much focus on selective equipment. Free-weight routines force stabilizer and synergistic muscles into action; the more muscles worked per routine, the more likely new mass will result.

7. Not doing cardio. Three times a week for 30-45 minutes will do the trick, and don't go through the motions. Get the heart pumping good.

8. Doing cardio on the same days as weight-training. Doing cardio before weights will strip the body of energy needed to perform muscle-blitzing routines. Doing cardio after weights will interfere with muscle recovery. It's okay to do brief, light cardio as a warm-up and cool-down, but save the actual cardio sessions for their own days.

9. Not getting enough sleep (7-8 hours).

10. High alcohol intake.

11. Not drinking enough water.

Better make sure I start following all of them if I want to stop seeing Dorothy's Tinman staring back at me through the bathroom mirror.

Music
Obsessed. Mariah Carey's new single is hitting airwaves soon! I have no idea why I'm still a fan of this 40 year old, married, occasional (wait, most of the time actually) fat-ass...guess I'm still very much in love with that angelic voice of hers....damn.

Movies
Please come out soon, Transformers. The graphics and a Ms. Megan Fox are the main reasons I'm all pumped up to catch this one on the silverscreen.

Mouth
Hoho, I just had my stitches removed today and according to that *&^%$, my wound's fine. Sad to say, a humongous ulcer has taken over its place and it is still hurting everytime I yawn....damn damn.

Cheers,
Timo

Wisdom Tooth

Dental hospitals suck. My mouth is hurting so bad. What seemed like a normal procedure (removal of a wisdom tooth) turned out to be one of the most horrifying/traumatizing experiences of my life. Should I blame it on the scrawny she-dentist ( a newbie who looked so fragile, weak and young-looking that,at first, I was certain she did not have the strength to operate on me at all ), the brainless sloth that calls itself a dental nurse, or the lack of balls on my part?

fuck.

p.s. The ice-cream helped. Thanks, dad.
