School Nationals

I am very stressed out now. Couldn't sleep , that's why I decided to start writing this. The first thing on my mind : JCT Results. I have no idea why is this thing stuck in my head, but I just can't seem to tell myself 'Tim, just  forget about this fucking thing for one day , JUST ONE DAY!' I know that I'm being a bit kua zang since almost 90 % of my results are not out yet ( they'll be out tomorrow ) but my stress level is really quite high now, to the point that I can't sleep.

Anyways, no matter what the results are, you've got to tell yourself that man, it's done, you studied this time round and if the results doesn't meet your target, there must be either something wrong with your studying techniques or you haven't put in sufficient amount of effort. I know all this while, the latter has been my major stumbling block but I really did sit down and study this time. Really REALLY really have to study after my school nationals, prelims are not that far away, and I realize that my whole class is working very very hard, which just adds more fuel to the stress-induced fire. Sigh*

Anyways, the other thing that's on my mind is of course school nats. It starts tomorrow, soon to be today, lol, really do have to get some sleep, even though my first events not until Thursday. My events: 200m and 100m breaststroke. I have been training, although not for the whole holidays but just pray that I'd make it into finals. Haha.

I am very stressed out now. Is this the only thing that Singapore does to you? Expose you to high levels of stress. It gets a bit frustrating at times ( I am very irritated at this particular moment ) that with all these stress, sometimes you can't help but feeling helpless and 'WHY CAN'T YOU JUST ACE THAT DAMN PAPER WHEN YOU"VE PREPARED FOR IT!' kind of thing.

Sorry , that statement that I made is undeniably questionable, if not regarded as totally untrue and biased. I have to admit there are a lot more to Singapore than just stress, school work, CCAs and examinations. TJ Swim Team is one such support group that I really enjoyed myself, and I'm sure all the other swimmers feel the same way to. Well, I am really emo now so you may notice a slight difference in my tone and the way I phrase myself, LOL, but anyways, looking at the brighter side, School Nats are finally here! That means more support for each other, more cheering, encouragement and also more team bonding! It also means that there won't be much training time left for us year-twos.... no matter how tiring it may seem, I 'll definitely miss it...;-)

I have really enjoyed TJ Swim Team, so good luck everyone and all the best for your events! TJ SWIM TEAM ROCKS!!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!!

CHEERS,

p.s. I WILL definitely get my 'A' s in the final exams!!!!!!!!!!.....jiayou......

June Common Test= No Life

Yo!!!

Just finished my June Common Test! Haha, It has been the longest week ever ( for me ) anyways, overall, it was quite tough, considering I studied quite hard for it. There's still prelims and A-levels though........
Next Week: School Nationals!!!! Ok, the competitions aren't fun at all but the company is awesome. There'll be even more team bonding, lots of jokes and cam-whoring throughout the week, lol. TJ Swim Team Rocks!!!!!
I'm having a bit of fever right now, there seemed to be a mass outbreak of them in the hostel and I think I might have gotten it too. Haih, so much for post-JCT celebrations.;-(

Anyways, will keep y'all updated ok?

TJ Swim Camp '08-Penang..WooHoo!!!!!!!

Yo!!!!!!

Just came back to S'pore today at 2.00 am. TJ Swim Team rocks! Lol, we really had a fun time together in Penang. Tell y'all the highlights now.
1. Before we departed, Neritta and I did a small sharing session about competition and race-plans. It was awesome! oh, and we celebrated Kheng's and Dodo's birthday amid all the luggage ( Actually took the cake which we bough opposite school all the way to Penang *Sigh*)
2. Activities on the bus: Sleeping, Card games and more sleeping.
3. First stop at Penang: Botanical Gardens. We went there to stretch and had lunch before checking in into the hotel.
4. Training at Penang Chinese Swimming Club. The water looked cleaner this time round but was still salty. It was very fun, especially the starts and the finishes with all the cam-whoring and video -taking.
5. Gurney Drive!!!! Asam Laksa, Lok-Lok, sting-ray, satay, all the yummy food. We didn't have much time to shop though at Gurney Plaza. Managed to grab two polo T's and that's about it.
6. Next morning, brief training with lots of tanning and then back to the hotel. We had the famous chendol beside the street before the friendly with the CSC Swimmers.
7. the friendly was quite fun, especially the relay at the end ;-) Later, had dinner with the hosts beside the pool and talked, laughed and played a bit of polar bear before heading back to the hotel.
8. Did I mention about the sharing sessions by the other year 2's? Yeah, all of us shared something about our experiences being a part of the team and how we learned from it. Really, really well prepared and carried out, I would say.
9. This is one of the main highlights. We actually bought a few bottles of cheap vodka and Thai wine to booze that night. The drinking game was 4 kings and basically the loser drinks one mouth everytime he or she breaks a rule. We mixed the alcohol with soft drinks but still some of them did get a bit high in the end..haha. Did it for two consecutive nights. ( Nicholas Goh can really hold his liquor well, not Zong Yao though )
10. We had a training session with the Penang swimmers, more shopping before leaving Penang. Stopped by Ipoh for some hor fun and nga choi chicken. that was THE Best lunch for the entire trip. We did play murderer and detective most of our journey back to S'pore and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves pretty well.
I am going back to Malaysia on Saturday!!! Whee....though most of the time back there will spent on mugging and studying..haih.. two and a half more weeks before JCT! Keep y'all updated!!
TJ SWIM TEAMS ROCKS!!!!!!!! ;-)
